TECNALIA works closely with the European Space Agency (ESA) and major aerospace companies and end-users.
TECNALIA is providing training to the BiSKY Team (UPV/EHU) in the field of advanced materials technologies with high thermal performance for propulsion, calculating and designing moulds for composite rocket components. TECNALIA is also providing support in simulating processes and automating composite materials, in characterising and planning tests, and in innovative composite material technologies.
BiSKY Team will take part with its demonstrator in the European Rocketry Challenge, a university rocket launch competition in Europe which aims to encourage engineering students to design, build and launch their own rockets.
With its long experience in design engineering, calculation and manufacturing processes of composite materials for the aerospace sector, COMPOXI will support the BiSKY Team in the field of calculating and designing rocket components in composite materials, cutting and laminating strategies for composite materials, industrial processes for composite materials, specimen testing campaigns, and optimising production processes.
