Last September, the sixth edition of the IEEE International Conference on High Voltage Engineering and Application, ICHVE, was held in Athens (Greece). It is held every two years in different parts of the world and is sponsored by IEEE DEIS and CIGRÉ.
Previous editions were held in Chongqing, China (2008), New Orleans, USA (2010), Shanghai, China (2012), Poznan, Poland (2014) and Chengdu, China (2016),
On this occasion, around 340 papers were presented over four days. TECNALIA Electrical Labs participated actively in the conference, presenting the paper "Condition assessment of 230 kV cables at a power plant. Study of remaining life and life extension".
The document outlines the diagnosis and assessment tasks on evacuation cables at a hydroelectric power plant in Antioquia, Colombia. It also includes a study of the remaining life and a life extension plan. Our colleague, Aitor Kortajarena, Head of the Testing Area, was responsible for presenting it.
