We increase the scope of our enac accreditation for ventilated cladding testing

Ventilated cladding is a key and essential construction system in architecture. Thanks to the latest developments and the evolution of this system in recent years, we can find a wide range of proposals on the market.

This construction system is used in both building restoration and in unique new builds. The market offers high-tech products with technical and aesthetic features that adapt to the needs of each project.

The assessment of this type of cladding, which does not come under the field of application of any harmonised standard, is carried out using the European Assessment Document EAD 090062-00-0404 “KITS FOR EXTERNAL WALL CLADDINGS MECHANICALLY FIXED”.

TECNALIA is the first national Organisation to obtain ENAC Nº4 LE 024 accreditation for wind suction and wind pressure load resistance testing, and for the impact resistance test for ventilated cladding, set out in the EAD 090062-00-0404. We also have accreditation for fire resistance tests.

We are a Technical Assessment Body (TAB) for the issue of European Technical Assessments (ETA), offering manufacturers a channel for the CE marking of ventilated cladding.
