“We work on solutions for the integration of renewable energies in the energy system”
HISTORY OF COREMARINE
We live in a society very committed to finding new ways to decarbonize the energy system. In this area, and after wind energy, offshore wind has been postulated as the next new great renewable energy.
At COREMARINE they already develop and supply solutions that facilitate their generation, but many innovations are still necessary.
COREMARINE + TECNALIA Collaboration
Some seabeds are located at great depth, making standard ground-based offshore wind solutions technically and economically unviable.
The floating devices we are working on are a solution, but they must go through a cost reduction process. “This is where the collaboration between TECNALIA and COREMARINE comes in, based, among others, on making the complex and costly Operation and Maintenance activities of floating wind power more efficient” points out Germán Pérez, Head of Offshore Renewables TECNALIA.
“With TECNALIA and around the development of the HarshLab laboratory, COREMARINE was established in the Basque Country 20 years ago, collaborating in the deployment of the two evolutions of the device in the BIMEP test area, among many other projects” , indicates Carlos López Pavón, Director of Technology – COREMARINE.
The wind and the sea, a project of TECNALIA + COREMARINE
This is an innovative way of applying digitalization to solve problems related to marine energy. A project that allows us to reduce process costs and facilitates the commercialization of floating wind energy.
