We develop models for analysing the dynamics of offshore systems, and the reliable design and assessment of innovative concepts in the marine environment.
To this end, we generate hybrid (coupled numerical and physical) models of the dynamics of systems that operate at sea, using computationally efficient solutions.
The models developed combine various technologies associated with the dynamics of offshore systems, corresponding to various fields of scientific knowledge:
- Hydrodynamics
- Aerodynamics
- Geotechnics
- Structural behaviour
- Energy transformation when applied to offshore renewables.
Our experience enables us to use and develop numerical tools, calibrated with experimental data and suitable for each case.
These tools are aimed at the optimal design of innovations for offshore structures in terms of cost and reliability and include foundations, anchors and dynamic cables.
In doing so, we take the entire life cycle into account, including manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance and removal.. We also apply our knowledge to estimating the remaining life of offshore systems.
We provide our knowledge and experience to companies interested in offshore renewable energy
