The 9th Meeting of TECNALIA’s Invested Companies, organised by TECNALIA Ventures, brought together 60 representatives of the entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem.
Last Thursday, 14th March, the 9th Meeting of TECNALIA’s Invested Companies took place, organised by TECNALIA Ventures, its Deep Tech Venture Builder. The event was held at the Kursaal Conference Centre (Donostia - San Sebastián) and was attended by around 60 representatives of TECNALIA’s entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem.
- In the first block, Jesús Valero, Managing Director of TECNALIA, and Jon Gurrutxaga, Director General for Innovation of Gipuzkoa Provincial Council, welcomed the participants and opened the meeting.
- Next, Asier Rufino, CEO of TECNALIA Ventures, presented the milestones of TECNALIA Ventures in 2023.
- Julia Palomo, Head of Startups and Scaleups in the Basque Country at Banco Santander, and Javier Serrano, Head of Business Development Start-ups at Banco Santander, presented the evolution and success stories of the Santander Startups initiative.
New deep tech startups invested by TECNALIA and take aways
In the second block, the three new deeptech start-up companies in which TECNALIA has a stake: Veltis Rating (Ricardo Antuña, CEO), Solarcraft (Jon Lasa, Partner) and Intellialert (Jagoba Lupiola, CEO).
In addition, Haritz Zabaleta, CEO of Fesia Technology, and Lluís Chico, CEO of Neos Surgery, shared their experiences managing commercial agreements with international partners.
Marta González, Head of Digital Ventures at TECNALIA; Adrián Noguero, CEO of Go4It; and Ricardo Antuña, CEO of Veltis Rating, also led a round table discussion on the different perspectives of artificial intelligence.
Inspirational block
During the third block, Pilar Carrato, CFO of CDTI, and Andrés Ubierna, Head of Capitalisation of Technological Companies at CDTI, presented the “Innvierte Programme”.
During their talks, Ignacio Azpiazu, Managing Partner of HUB Advisory Partners, highlighted the keys to productive and orderly governance; and Rodrigo Rodero, an expert in international logistics, shared his view on logistics strategy in business development.
