The Electrical Laboratories have been recognized as testing laboratory within the international CB certification scheme operated by IEC
The Electrical Laboratories of TECNALIA were assessed in February by a delegation of IEC –International Electrotechnical Commission-, integrated by expert technical auditors from I2PS Germany, KTL Korea and SGS CEBEC Belgium. The aim of the audit was to prove compliance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 Standards as well as IECEE 1 and 2 rules and other relevant IECEE CB-Scheme operational documents. The audit was focused on the Product Category POW for Low Voltage and High Power switching equipment, and the following standards: IEC 61439-1 and -2, IEC 60947-1, -2 and-3.
The result of the audit was fully satisfactory and TECNALIA has been recognized as accepted laboratory to participate in the IECEE CB-Scheme and operate as CBTL (Testing Lab) under the responsibility of SGS CEBEC as National Certification Body (NCB) in Belgium.
The IECEE CB-Scheme is an international program for exchange and acceptance of product safety test results among participating laboratories and certification organizations around the world. The CB Scheme offers manufacturers a simplified way of obtaining multiple national safety certifications for their products.
