Along with garita automotive, we have succeeded in producing automobile parts up to 20% lighter

The appearance on the market of third generation 3G steels as an alternative to reduce the weight of vehicles has been the starting point for the new business line that we have created in conjunction with Garita Automotive.

For the past two years, we have been working to acquire the necessary knowledge to mass produce stamped parts and welded sub-assemblies with these new steels. The big vehicle manufacturers will demand third generation steel parts as a way of lightening today's vehicles and those of the future.

These parts offer better mechanical properties than those used to date, enabling the utilisation of much thinner sheets than the current ones and competitive costs.

Thanks to this development, Garita Automotive is now capable of producing sets of stamped parts in third generation steels by means of stamping and welded unions. This will help the automotive industry overcome one of the big challenges it faces: reducing the weight of vehicles.
