"We have extended the range of standards in the EN 1366 family of fire resistance tests for service installations"
Extension of the scope of ENAC accreditation - fire resistance of smoke extraction ducts (EN 1366-8 and EN 1366-9)
At TECNALIA, we have extended the scope of ENAC accreditation No. LE024 on construction elements to include two essential standards; specifically EN 1366-8 and EN 1366-9 for fire resistance of extraction ducts.
This extension of the accreditation has involved the acquisition of high-precision equipment, such as the new oxygen measuring equipment. It measures the percentage of O2 in the hot air and smoke that is generated during a fire.
Scope of ENAC accreditation No. LE024 on construction elements
Our fire safety laboratory offers customers the option of completing the classifications for their previously tested systems under the configurations covered by EN 1366-1 (fire resistance tests for ventilation ducts), and classifying them according to EN 13501-4.
These accredited tests are the basis for the CE marking of ducts according to the harmonised EN 12101-7 standard, which establishes the laboratory tests and production control processes required to guarantee the performance of the ducts. In this way, manufacturers of service installations obtain the necessary passport to access international markets.
At the fire safety laboratory, we work towards the safety of people and hope that our customers will continue to place their trust in us in order to expand our portfolio of services.
