Within our collaboration framework with the University of Deusto, we welcomed participants of the fifth edition of its Dual Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship in Action at our facilities on 9th and 15th November 2021.

The morning of 9th November kicked off with a debate led by Germán Lasa, CMO of TECNALIA Ventures, in which students had the opportunity to simplify concepts related to Deep Tech Venture Building, which is understood to be an effective tool for the transformation of technological ideas into real business opportunities in the market.

Later, following an official presentation of TECNALIA and TECNALIA Ventures by Germán; Sergio Bandinelli, Director of Business Development at TECNALIA Ventures, analysed how companies face the challenges of open innovation from the perspective of Corporate Venturing.

The day ended with the formulation of the challenge presented by TECNALIA Ventures on which the participants had to work for the rest of the week with the support of Pablo Campo, Director of Innovation and Open Business at the Grupo Laboral Kutxa and Head of IT at Seguros Lagun Aro:

Which innovative formulas can TECNALIA deploy through TECNALIA Ventures to attract entrepreneurial talent and/or deep tech start-ups (Management) to its ecosystem?

Following an intense week of work by the teams, on 15th November, the participants presented their proposals in response to the challenge set to a jury made up of Asier Rufino, CEO of TECNALIA Ventures, Germán Lasa, Pablo Campo and Roberta Vicente, from Deusto Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which stood out for their alignment with the TECNALIA Ventures strategies and their highly innovative component.

To round off the day, Asier gave an inspiring talk, “Tough decision-making”, highlighting a parallelism between the history of chess and the socio-economy.

Congratulations to all of the participants!
