IntelliAlert culmina su plataforma de inteligencia artificial para predecir inundaciones

“This platform gives municipalities, governments, industry and infrastructure managers the ability to take action in advance”

TECNALIA's deeptech startup launches an innovative tool to predict floods and minimise damage by improving planning and response to extreme events

IntelliAlert, a company created in 2023 by Team Ingeniería y Consultoría and TECNALIA, has completed its flood prediction platform powered by artificial intelligence. This will allow municipalities, governments, industries and infrastructure managers to take measures 8 to 24 hours in advance to minimise damage in the event of extreme events.

The platform is called Fast Flood Advisor System Technology, and provides the first solution of its kind on the market, as it not only predicts when flooding will occur, but also makes it possible to see the consequences of this flooding using two-dimensional models.

The tool brings the relevant information together on a single, intuitive platform, which produces a history of incidents and sends regular alerts to those in charge. It also provides more effective flood risk planning and subsequent analysis of each episode for municipalities, infrastructure operators and industries to ensure that flood risk is properly managed and action protocols are triggered.

Protection and resilience against natural disasters

IntelliAlert’s tool is a technological innovation that promotes resilience and protection against natural disasters in the fight against climate change. Consequently, it has continued its project to develop technological solutions and provide digital services for managing emergencies.

The company already has customers such as Adif, in a pilot initiative for a railway line in Malaga, and in different municipalities in the Basque Country, such as Durango and Muskiz Town Councils.
