Safety net systems assessment service that helps to reduce the number of accidents on construction sites due to falls from height

TECNALIA is launching a new, dynamic testing service, in accordance with UNE EN 1263 for manufacturers of safety net systems on construction sites. This service will be carried out from our facilities in Azpeitia: they meet the mechanical strength requirements to ensure the safety of operators in their work area, thereby reducing the high accident rates on construction sites due to falls from heights.

We are the only laboratory in Spain that has a testing structure, where we can reproduce falls from heights on a “real scale”. Our facilities are equipped with the equipment required to carry out all types of physical and mechanical tests.

Our Structural Safety laboratory provides manufacturers of safety nets with new equipment for carrying out dynamic tests: they ensure that the system can absorb the impact energies produced by an operator's fall on a real scale.

Test on temporary works equipment

TECNALIA is the benchmark laboratory in the national TWE testing market, with equipment to characterise products such as scaffolding, shoring towers, access towers, edge protections, pillars and struts, staircases, etc.
