About 160,000 researchers are included in the Stanford University ranking.

Salvador Ceballos, a researcher in TECNALIA's Smart Grids and Energy Storage department, has been recognised as one of the most influential researchers in the world in the field of “Electrical and Electronic Engineering”: he is ranked 1,740th out of 87,600 researchers.

The study, which was published in October 2020 by Professor John P. A. Loannidis and his team at Stanford University, collected and analysed data on papers published between 1996 and 2019 by approximately seven million researchers in 22 research fields, covering areas related to chemistry, engineering, economics and business.

The database provides an up-to-date analysis of the most influential researchers with information on the citations and impact indices of their work.
