TECNALIA Ventures ha participado en la World EXPO 2020 

“The EU – Arab countries innovation conference, organised by the European Commission´s Joint Research Centre (JRC) was held on 14th December 2021”.

Asier Rufino, CEO of TECNALIA Ventures, has participated as a speaker in the “TTO Circle - EU - Arab countries innovation conference: paving the way for international research collaboration and technology transfer”.

The EU - Arab countries innovation conference, organised by theEuropean Commission´s Joint Research Centre (JRC) was held in the Italian Pavilion at the World EXPO 2020 in Dubai on 14th December 2021.

This hybrid event was held within the framework of the European Technology Transfer Offices Circle (TTO Circle), the network of technology transfer offices made up of the 36 major public research organisations in Europe, in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).

Deep Tech Venture Building Model by TECNALIA Ventures

Alluding to the slogan of this edition of the World EXPO “Connecting minds, creating the future”, Asier Rufino, CEO of TECNALIA Ventures, delved into the technology transfer schemes and presented the Deep Tech Venture Building model by TECNALIA Ventures. It focuses its efforts on connecting the three main pillars of any innovation eco-system: “Minds” or people with technological/scientific capabilities; “Management” or people capable of transforming a technological idea into a product in the market; and “Money” or investors willing to commit to deep tech business opportunities.

International research collaboration and technology transfer

The aim of the conference is to share best practices, experiences and lessons learned on international collaboration for research and technology transfer between Europe and the Arab World. It provides a space for experts to reflect on how best to convey results stemming from scientific and technological research to the market place and to wider society.
