The European Union launched a debate with Member States, associated countries and research and innovation partners on the transfer and valuation of knowledge
Last June, the European Union awareness-raising day facilitated by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation was held in Madrid as part of the "Capitals Tour". Representatives of the different public and private representatives of the Spanish knowledge transfer ecosystem, as well as senior officials from the European Commission, the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Universities, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office and the Innovation Funding Agency participated in this awareness-raising meeting.
Asier Rufino, CEO of TECNALIA Ventures, TECNALIA's deep tech Venture Builder, participated as a speaker in the "Spanish Knowledge Transfer and Collaboration Plan - Way to implementation?" panel moderated by Beñat Bilbao, Deputy Head of Unit - DG RTD at the European Commission.
Transfer Plan
The panel addressed the Transfer Plan, which is part of the State Plan for Scientific, Technological and Innovation Research for the period 2021-2023; and the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation 2021-2027. It proposed new initiatives and reinforced actions initiated over the past two years, many of which are part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
