United in the quantum future: We participated in the presentation of the Bizkaia Quantum Industrial Hub
The Bizkaia Quantum Industrial Hub, a unique ecosystem to connect the main players in industry and establish new collaborations and business opportunities around quantum computing, was presented on 1st June in the Auditorium of the BAT (Accelerator B Tower ) in Bilbao.
Bizkaia Quantum Industrial Hub: a visionary project
The Bizkaia Quantum Industrial Hub is a visionary project that seeks to promote research, development and the application of quantum technologies in the business environment. With a wide network of collaborators and strategic partners, the Hub is designed to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and progress in quantum technologies in Europe.
This presentation took place between the kick-off of the European Commission's OpenSuperQPLus project and the International Workshop on Quantum Computation in Superconducting Circuits, organised by EHU/UPV.
Building a quantum ecosystem
The event was opened by Ainara Basurko, who highlighted collaboration as a fundamental pillar for building a quantum ecosystem.
Joseba Laka, Head of Digital Transformation at TECNALIA, presented the keys to the Hub and moderated the various panels within the conference with the participation of Iñigo Arizaga from TECNALIA, Jorge García del Arco from AQUADAT, Escolástico Sánchez Martínez from BBVA, Enrique Solano from Quanvia, Antonio Peris from QCentroid, Iker Jauregibeitia from Global Data Quantum, Pepe Hevia Oliver from aQuantum, Belén Martínez Galiana from 42 Urduliz Fundación Telefónica, Carlos Founaud from Grupo Oesía, Joseba Zubia from UPV/EHU, Pablo García Bringas from Deusto University, Juan Borge from Mondragon University and Nerea Martiartu, Managing Director of Lantik.
