Technical workshop: how to accelerate regulatory compliance and certification of cybersecurity products in the electricity sector
The digitalisation of critical infrastructures poses new cybersecurity challenges that have led Europe to develop a new policy to ensure more secure and resilient hardware and software products. The European Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) will enter into force in 2024 and will be compulsory for manufacturers of these products.
Furthermore, technological trends such as the virtualisation of functionalities at power grid nodes or the use of shared data spaces between different agents make it even more necessary to reinforce cybersecurity in the equipment and infrastructures that make up the electricity system.
Target Audience
- Energy operators, equipment and component manufacturers, engineering companies, service companies, and other actors related to smart grids and the electricity sector.
The requirements and challenges for deploying a cyber-secure power system in accordance with IEC 62443, ensuring compliance with the CRA, will be presented. Experts will report on the importance of the design and development process and its relevance to the new cybersecurity requirements in electricity infrastructures.
Within the framework of the 21st International Congress on Experiences in Industrial Cybersecurity 2023, TECNALIA will provide its unique expertise on industrial cybersecurity, together with an in-depth knowledge of electronic products and their manufacturing processes, to assist companies in their cybersecurity certification processes.
