Autonomy challenge: The art of ageing well

The 17th Autonomy Challenge will take place on the 20th and 21st of November at the Saint Etienne Convention Centre. This edition will address "Osteoporosis, new prevention tools and the climate transition," with the aim of providing all the keys to ageing well.

At the 17th edition of the Salón Défi Autonomie you may explore the art of ageing well. This event will focus on the prevention of loss of autonomy, the importance of addressing osteoporosis and home care.

The art of ageing well

Event highlights:

  • Round tables on the prevention of loss of autonomy, osteoporosis, and home care.
  • Practical workshops on nutrition, balance, and fall prevention.
  • The participation of almost a hundred exhibitors offering solutions and services for healthy ageing.
  • Highlight show: On Tuesday, 21 November at 2:30pm, don't miss "La retraite de Babeth," a play that takes a light-hearted look at the first 10 years of retirement.

Our colleague Pierre Barralon will attend this event, where he will present the Previchute project co-financed by the MAIF Foundation, and will show the device Equimetrix, a system for the evaluation and functional training of balance. A device that could be implemented in spas, medical and rehabilitation clinics, and independent living or elderly care homes.

Healthy ageing

Since its creation, this conference fair has followed a preventive approach to preserve the autonomy of the elderly. The issue of "old age" and "healthy ageing" is at the heart of the team’s commitment.
