Additive manufacturing technologies as a whole offer unique opportunities for developing new manufacturing concepts. We are often unaware of the potential of these technologies and the possibilities they can offer.

As an aid to understanding this and providing inspiration, TECNALIA will present four use cases developed using different technologies and materials, applied to sectors such as machine tools, aerospace, health and the automotive industry, among others.

Each of these cases has been developed using four different technologies:

  • binder jetting additive manufacturing,
  • additive manufacturing for plastics and composite,
  • wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM), and
  • manufacturing by laser metal deposition (LMD).

TECNALIA will demonstrate how each technology helps to increase competitiveness in manufacturing processes. After the presentation, TECNALIA will open specific sessions to get expert views on the uses, trends, challenges and benefits that each technology brings.
