The European Union regulations on the circular economy calls for increased efficiency of the value chains by seeking new products based on by-products or waste.

TECNALIA is involved in different research and innovation initiatives aimed at fulfilling this objective in the field of biological resources.

Our Healthy Food Director, Mari Carmen Villarán, will participate in a round table along with other experts to reveal the results obtained through the development of base technologies for the valuation of vegetable and fruit by-products, turning them into raw material for the food industry:

  • Our technologies provide the innovation required by the food industry to develop the food of the future.
  • The aim of this forum is to interact with those present to show the agricultural and food value chain the different paths to move towards this circular economy.
