TECNALIA takes part in the Cities Forum 2024: Digital Innovation for More Efficient and Competitive Cities
Francisco Rodríguez, Head of TECNALIA’s Urban Transformation Laboratory, will take part in a round table this year at the Cities Forum 2024 to be held at the IFEMA exhibition centre in Madrid.
The main goal of this session is to explore digital innovation as a key driver for urban transformation.
- It provides a space for cities, which have already begun this transition, and for dozens of organisations working with local governments to make their proposals for change possible.
- Experts and leaders will share their experiences and insight into how cities can become more efficient, competitive and sustainable by using digital technologies.
The Cities Forum is therefore a meeting point to exchange ideas, projects and views on the way forward for cities to become more liveable, sustainable, inclusive, participatory and resilient spaces.
Join this round table to discover how digital innovation is shaping the future of our cities and how we can harness it to create smarter and more sustainable urban environments.
Digital twins for urban transformation
Cities are complex environments where AI and digital twins can support decision-making for positive urban transformation. Digital twins allow 3D modelling of cities’ different layers: buildings, residents, underground infrastructure, urban services, etc.
Moreover, thanks to all the available urban information and the interactions between the different layers, it is possible to model the behaviour of cities, using predictive techniques, numerical simulation and descriptive analysis.
So, by using these approaches, we can make informed decisions and create safer, more efficient and sustainable cities.
