One of the major challenges faced this century is the decarbonisation of the economy whereby technology is one of our main allies.
At an industrial level, there are different decarbonisation strategies; from energy and production shifts to strategies for the implementation of new industrial models in which carbon dioxide is trapped and used instead of being released to the atmosphere.
Technologies for CO2 capture, storage and use - CAUC technologies - cover all industrial processes that aim to capture CO2, whether from industrial point sources or directly from the air; and transform captured CO2 into a range of added value products: synthetic fuels, chemical products or construction materials, among others.
- This webinar will show Spain’s different industrial initiatives related to CO2 capture in the petrochemical and construction sectors and at biomass plants.
- Various alternatives for the use of the captured CO2 will also be presented: in the production of methane, methanol and manufacture of construction materials.
