TECNALIA will explore in depth the social and environmental impact potential of nature-based solutions in cities
The “Nature in the City” event will address factors that help or hinder the co-creation of nature-based solutions (NbS) in cities. The sessions will cover a wide range of current European initiatives.
In this event, coordinated by the CLEVER Cities project, TECNALIA will present its tool, LIST (Local Innovation Screening Tool), which assesses innovation in projects for the implementation of natural solutions. TECNALIA also address the monitoring and assessment of the effectiveness of natural solutions in urban regeneration processes.
CLEVER Cities: Nature-based Urban Transformation
Hamburg, London and Milan are implementing nature-based solutions in key districts for urban regeneration. Through city-to-city exchange, inclusive collaboration and multidisciplinary learning, the CLEVER Cities initiative aims to boost a new kind of nature-based urban transformation for sustainable and socially inclusive cities.
TECNALIA leads the demonstrators in these three cities and accompanies them in the planning, design, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of the solutions that are applied. TECNALIA also assesses the impacts of the solutions that are implemented, with a special focus on social impact.
