TACTILITY is an EU Horizon 2020 research project that incorporates rich and meaningful tactile information into novel interaction systems through technology for closed-loop tactile interactions with virtual environments.
By replicating the characteristics of natural tactile feedback, it substantially increases the quality of the immersive virtual reality (VR) experience used locally or remotely (tele-manipulation).
The next generation of interactive systems brings a higher quality user experience for local and remote applications (tele-manipulation). TACTILITY will make it possible to have a high fidelity experience through low-cost, easy-to-use, wearable mobile technology.
This seminar will introduce TACTILITY, present the initial results and give a short demonstration of a prototype.
