The ocean is an infinite source of energy and other resources. Harnessing these resources requires technological innovation projects to develop cost-competitive solutions.
Goal of the conference
At this conference, researchers and industry representatives will debate on the most recent research activities and the potential market of innovations in offshore renewable energies in the Basque Country.
- Our colleague, Iñigo Mendikoa, will talk about the innovation in materials, which respond to the extremely harsh conditions of the marine environment.
- Vincenzo Nava, on the other hand, will expound on the potential of artificial intelligence to promote the deployment of offshore renewable energy technologies.
- Companies such as IDOM, SAITEC and SENER will discuss the latest breakthroughs in the research projects in offshore Wind Power, which are being developed in the Basque Country; projects in which TECNALIA is involved.
The ultimate goal of the conference is to find the common ground between research and the needs of the industry in the field of offshore renewable energy technologies in the Basque Country.
This session is organised by JRL/ORE (Joint Research Laboratory on Offshore Renewable Energy), the Euskampus Fundazioa, the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), TECNALIA, and BCAM.
*The conference will be in English
