Development platform for electric vehicle traction control units

Plataforma desarrollo de unidades de control para tracción de vehículo eléctrico

Vehicle conceived as a testing and validation platform for developing electric and hybrid propulsion system components.

Description

Built on a tubular chassis, the vehicle is fitted with three electric motors: two at the front which drive the front wheels and one at the rear which drives the rear axle. It incorporates a 22.38 kWh battery pack, which can provide a maximum power of 373 kW.

Main characteristics of the vehicle:

  • Electric four-wheel drive, e-AWD.
  • Two independent front electric motors (one per wheel) and one rear electric motor.
  • Individual motors instantly control traction and torque, in less than 10 ms.
  • Torque vectoring capabilities. Braking energy recovery.
  • Remote monitoring / diagnostic system.
  • Developed with TECNALIA’s own technology.

Specifications:

  • Nominal power: 174 kW (232 CV).
  • Maximum power: 360 KW (482 CV).
  • Acceleration (0-100 km/h): 3 84 s
  • Maximum speed: 170 km/h.
  • Autonomy: 212 (combine, urban+open road).

Consumption:

  • WLTP test cycle: 10.13 kWh/100 km.
  • Actual:
    • Urban: 7.79 kWh/100 km.
    • Open road: 13.31 kWh/100 km.
    • Combined: 10.55 kWh/100 km.

Battery:

  • Energy: 22.38 kWh.
  • Maximum power: 373 kW.
