“The My Labour Market platform enables users to play with data like their professional profile, place of residence and work/life balance”
New data and disruptive technologies such as AI
The My Labour Market, platform, developed with the participation of TECNALIA and its expertise in disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence and interaction models, enables people to play with data like their professional profile, place of residence and work/life balance: they can view how their own labour market is evolving, which sectors are growing the most, or which job is more dynamic (labour market liquidity), etc.
This platform also shows information on the stability of any professional career as well as data linked to the geographical location chosen by users.
Slovenia as a test platform
At the end of March, the last testing phase with real users took place in Slovenia with the participation of Employment Services for Slovenia. It has been possible to verify that users found the interaction model designed by TECNALIA to be positive. The results have also been remarkable in terms of the usability and engagement criteria thanks to the application of User-Centred Design and Gamification techniques.
The labour market demands new jobs and new skills due to the great technological progress currently taking place. This technology should exploit available data so that workers can find the offers that best match their needs and skills.
It is necessary to provide labour market information directly to unemployed citizens; to build on the European values of open data, collaboration, transparency and citizen participation. The aim is to use sociological and anthropological knowledge about unemployment and the labour market to create an ethical and equal platform.
The development of this platform has been carried out as part of the European HECAT project.
