“We offer a unique experimentation environment at a national level for all types of technology related to mobility and infrastructures”
The Bizkaia Connected Corridor is a benchmark project in the field of the interconnectivity of autonomous vehicles and smart transport systems
has an ambitious vision of mobility of the future, based on cutting-edge technologies such as autonomous driving, smart traffic management and sustainable mobility solutions. With a focus on efficiency and sustainability, TECNALIA offers a safer, more comfortable andenvironmentally friendly transport experience. It also seeks to address the current challenges of congested traffic and environmental pollution, paving the way for a more connected and cleaner future for all.
Engineering towards artificial intelligence and renewable energy
TECNALIA has experts in a wide range of disciplines, from engineering to artificial intelligence and renewable energy, striving to develop comprehensive solutions that will revolutionise the way we move around our cities. New smart mobility promises not only to improve our quality of life, but also to make a significant contribution to the fight against climate change.
Bizkaia Connected Corridor (BCC)
The Bizkaia Connected Corridor (BCC), a sensorised living lab for testing and validating safe and connected infrastructure technologies, provides a unique experimentation environment at a national level for all types of technology related to mobility and infrastructures.
The BCC is a strategic project implemented by Bizkaia Provincial Council and TECNALIA to create a cooperative corridor, 57 km of digitised and sensorised motorway, where companies will be able to test different pioneering technologies for cooperative connected and automated mobility (CCAM) and smart infrastructures. It features technological deployments related to cutting-edge technologies, such as Cooperative-ITS, Internet of Things, autonomous mobility, digital twin, the circular economy and sustainability, among others.
The BCC is ultimately a flagship project in the Bizkaia region. It has become a benchmark in the field of the interconnectivity of autonomous vehicles and smart transport systems. TECNALIA's participation in the International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC) provides a unique opportunity to present TECNALIA's latest technological advances and build strategic collaborations with key players in the field of smart mobility.
