Designing the future of senior food

Thanks to our collaboration with Bizkarra bakeries, we present, among other products, the development of biscuits fortified with Vitamin D and Calcium

The Basque Food Cluster organised the Cluster Day 2018 under the title of “Designing the Future of Food”, which we attended in our capacity as members. Along with other organisations from the food industry, we had the chance to exhibit our main developments in the field of senior food.

Thanks to our collaboration with bakeries Bizkarra, we have presented a list of innovative products developed through the ALIVIDA initiative, and aimed at improving the food of the senior population. Among these products, we can highlight the development of some biscuits fortified with Vitamin D and Calcium, which contain the nutrients required for proper skeletal health, as well as the appropriate mineralisation for this sector of the population.

Therefore, in line with our commitment to innovate and develop products aimed at improving the food of the ageing population, bread with Vitamin D and Calcium, as well as cake with Omega-3 and Linseed and fibre-rich brioche, among other products, were also showcased at this conference.
