Identifying technological collaboration opportunities with the United Kingdom

30 November 2018

Working meeting with 14 British firms focusing on the field of advanced materials

On 27th and 28th November, we have had the opportunity to work with 14 British firms and technology centres at TECNALIA to identify new technological collaboration opportunities based on the capabilities of both parties. The search for these opportunities has focused on the field of advanced materials, the cornerstone of the United Kingdom's Industrial Strategy.

This meeting has been organised in collaboration with the Director of the Department for International Trade (DIT) in the north of Spain and the British consul in Bilbao, Nick Greenwood. In conjunction with Laia Turró Llopart, head of Aeronautical, Automotive and Defence sectoral analysis at the United Kingdom's Ministerial Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy – BEIS, they had the opportunity to share “The UK´s Industrial Strategy” with the members of the TECNALIA Board of Trustees.

The members of the 14 British firms and technology centres were able to meet TECNALIA researchers and visit some of the research and technological development centre's most relevant laboratories and facilities, to identify technological collaboration opportunities.
