#IMPERDIBLE _03, an autonomous driving exhibition

New smart mobility systems to achieve safe, efficient and fully autonomous driving

The automotive industry has reached some relevant milestones recently: developing hybrid engines and smart parking systems. The sector is continuously evolving. The big brands have not stopped committing to unmanned vehicles, which are becoming a real alternative for safe and efficient driving in the foreseeable future.

We will be doing a demonstration of an autonomous Renault Twizy prototype at #Imperdible_03 so you can get to know first-hand how these cars drive. The exhibition will feature two cars driving around no other than the Plaza de Colón. A closed circuit will be set up: one vehicle will be driven in a traditional way, and a second car will follow it autonomously, taking into account the actions of the first car.

Thanks to the latest breakthroughs in the different Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) the barriers to including this new technology in urban environments are being torn down. It is estimated that it will be possible to drive cars fully autonomously on the roads before 2030, without the need for human intervention.

TECNALIA is placing all of its efforts and devoting its resources to develop new smart mobility systems to convert these forecasts into reality, with one clear aim: To have safe, efficient and fully autonomous driving.
