Hybrid generation and storage systems for products, infrastructures and buildings They integrate solutions for storage, digitisation, power electronics, solar energy, grid operation, and heating networks

The ENERISLA initiative works on the implementation of isolated microgrids fully based on renewable energies and brings knowledge, experience and solutions to the Spanish electricity market to improve its competitiveness in a new energy paradigm. It benefits from the development of an energy system linked to the energy transition, and from the ambitious policies on climate change already undertaken by many autonomous communities.

Grids will become increasingly sustainable, safe and efficient. Strategic planning instruments will be deployed to give a sense of direction, flexibility and manageability to the energy transition and decarbonisation of the economy, capturing the maximum opportunities to develop the economy and generate employment.

Our experts are involved in this initiative by providing their knowledge and experience of energy storage, digitisation, power electronics, solar energy, grid operation, and heating networks. They will use this expertise to develop energy systems of various sizes: from small products (EoT) to large infrastructures, through renewable solutions for energy generation, storage and efficiency. Hybrid energy generation and storage systems will be developed exclusively using renewable technologies, applicable to products, infrastructures and buildings.

ENERISLA Demonstrator

To hybridise the knowledge provided by the ENERISLA consortium correctly and transfer the results more effectively, the consortium will set up an ENERISLA Demonstrator: it will be made up of two totally autonomous microgrids owned by TECNALIA and CIRCE. They will be able to connect to each other by means of advanced communication protocols.

This initiative is the result of taking part in the 2019 call for the procedure for accrediting and granting aid to “Cervera” Technology Centres of Excellence, as part of the State Programme for Generating Knowledge and Strengthening the Science and Technology of the R&D and Innovation System, of the 2017-2020 State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation.
