Our electrical aircraft team at TECNALIA overcomes the second phase of the drone x challenge with the air taxi

30 March 2020

The contestants must submit an innovative product or service that uses drones

The Krypto Labs innovation centre is organising the Drone X Challenge 2020,  aimed at emerging companies, entrepreneurs and university students. Participants must submit a drone-related product or service with scalability as  an essential requirement.

The TECNALIA Electrical Aircraft team has overcome the second phase with the Air taxi , along with eight other companies from Taiwan, Germany, China, Canada, the United States and England. The purpose of this challenge is to accelerate the practical deployment of drones/UAVs in key applications focused on transport and logistics and to address two major challenges: payload capacity and flight range.

By 15 July 2020, the end of the third phase of the challenge, the use of the drone must be demonstrated in an innovative commercial application.

We continue to maintain industrial activity in order to contribute to the development of a stronger, more robust industry.
