Sustainability has become a key lever for the competitiveness of automotive companies
The 11th meeting of the Spanish Association of Automotive Suppliers (SERNAUTO) took place at the beginning of July, entitled “Automotive Suppliers. Sustainability with Competitiveness” where the importance of sustainability was discussed in depth.
TECNALIA is committed to technological innovation in the automotive sector through circular economy, sustainability, electrification, new materials and alternative energies, among other technologies, and attended the meeting as a partner alongside top-level automotive suppliers.
200 million for PERTE VEC III
The Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, announced that the call for aid for the value chain as part of the PERTE VEC III (Spanish Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation) will be offering 200 million euros (100 million euros in subsidies + 100 million euros in loans). The aim of this aid is to boost sustainability and reindustrialisation by focusing on innovation and investment, in order not to lose competitiveness in the sector.
