Premio KUBIK 4.0

These awards are granted to institutions that apply technology and digitalisation for the improvement of building processes

On Wednesday, 22 September, the Hotel Four Seasons in Madrid hosted the digitalisation award ceremony of the Advanced Architecture Awards 2021. These awards focus on recognising the work, leadership and effort of companies and professionals who are committed to transformation, disruption and innovation. These companies generate new materials, develop alternative products, more efficient devices and construction systems that comply with sustainability criteria and operating processes, and foster production industrialisation.

This award is a recognition to a commitment that started ten years ago with the creation of TECNALIA’s building, KUBIK, a singular experimental infrastructure that contributes to the improvement of energy efficiency in buildings. In recent years, it has been reinvented thus starting a new digital phase.

Strategic lines

The results have been very positive since it has allowed TECNALIA to present its portfolio to the professionals of the sector, providing solutions in five strategic lines: eco-bio-smart materials for construction, additive manufacturing in construction, digital twins for buildings, circularity of resources for the construction of buildings, and energy efficiency in buildings.

Further information

These awards have been framed within the Rebuild Fair, which took place on 21, 22 and 23 September, in Madrid. TECNALIA was actively present with its own stand; a sales presentation and two speeches at the National Congress on Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0.
