Addressing the challenges facing SMEs in climate action

Thanks to our multisectoral technological knowledge that focuses on facing complex mid-term challenges, Volkswagen Navarre decided to pay us a visit on 7 November
For the second year running, Volkswagen Navarre has organised their Innovation awards, with which they aim to involve their employees in the innovation processes. In their experience, employees are the ones who know more about what companies might lack and about problems that arise every day, so they are able to come up with ideas to solve them.
One of the awards that the company decided to give the three finalists this year was a visit to our facilities. Some of the awarded projects were a "Reference system with a calibration cube for panel beating robot handlers", which won first prize, "Automatic requests for logistic supply in a panel beater's workshop" which came second, and "The use of piezoelectric generators" which came third.
We welcomed the group of 14 people at TECNALIA and showed them our technological breakthroughs for various sectors, to let them know more about the centre's technological transversality, so they could get inspiration for the application of these developments to the automotive sector.
Innovation is one of the mainstays of Volkswagen's production strategy, called TRANSFORM.FACTORY+, which is aimed at helping the company move forward with efficient manufacturing processes. In this sense, we strive to look for new challenges and offer customers solutions that improve their competitiveness in the market.
