"As a single point lab, TECNALIA offers a comprehensive service covering all phases of product development"
TECNALIA is committed to research into industrialised construction to help companies implement innovation
At TECNALIA, we are aware of the evolution of construction towards industrialised construction and we are committed to research in this field, helping companies to implement innovation through the evaluation and certification of new industrialised solutions.
An example of this is our collaboration with SEI STRUCTURAL SYSTEM in the development and evaluation of its industrialised structural system. Since 2020, we have collaborated in the characterisation of the strength and rigidity of the different prefabricated structural elements. By means of real-scale tests, the strength and rigidity of the structural elements have been characterised in order to validate the calculations made by SEI STRUCTURAL SYSTEM.
We are therefore at the forefront in the certification and assessment of new products for industrialised construction. As a single point lab, we offer a comprehensive service covering all phases of product development, focusing on aspects such as:
- Durability of materials.
- Acoustic comfort.
- Structural safety.
- Fire safety.
Focusing on innovation and continuous improvement, at TECNALIA, we are committed to driving industrialised construction towards a safer, more efficient and sustainable future.
Benefits of industrialised construction
Modular construction drastically reduces construction times, resulting in significant cost savings and greater efficiency in the use of resources. Furthermore, by minimising material waste and optimising energy efficiency, these structures contribute to environmental sustainability and sustainable urban development. As they are increasingly adopted in industry, these structures are expected to continue to play a crucial role in creating safer, more durable and efficient buildings worldwide.
Prefabricated concrete structures are therefore emerging as a key pillar of this construction revolution. These structures, manufactured in controlled environments and then assembled on site, are redefining the sector’s quality, time and cost standards.
