We have developed a mobile application to prevent flooding on roads

The DRAIN IT application has been developed in conjunction with BELAKO LANAK and EXCAVACIONES VIUDA DE SAINZ. It monitors the state of the infrastructure by collecting real time measurements from its own sensors and public weather stations and it compares them with historic data to identify and manage the most vulnerable areas.

The tool is capable of calculating the maximum theoretical capacity of each element on the network and adjusts it in accordance with the section reductions measured by the sensors: obstructions, increased flows or damages. It also establishes performance indexes and specific alarms to notify the maintenance manager.

DRAIN works in a website environment in an office and on mobile phones and tablets for field work in areas with low or zero mobile coverage. This dual function offers the full digitalisation of the inspection and maintenance management process. It has the capacity to host data in the cloud, allows for real time management of the network situation, coordination of tasks as well as automated generation of situation reports.

The tool optimises the resources assigned by the Public Administrations to the maintenance of drainage networks on roads, minimising impact on traffic and increasing the safety and comfort of users.
