The arrival of the digital world in factories led to Industry 4.0 and the new paradigm is to achieve a permanent connection between both worlds as the key to efficiency and competitiveness in the future. This is why the so-called “digital twin” was created. It is a digital representation of a process or product, which digitally and faithfully reproduces the behaviour and performance of its real version. It works by sending permanent feedback with information on its respective environments (actual physical and optimal digital environments), enabling a fast and effective evolution towards versions with zero defects that are more efficient and better adapted to their environment.
In this context we are working to implement these virtual replicas of factories and their production processes in the industry, to predict faults and anomalous behaviour and achieve advanced processes and products that adapt to any circumstance in real time.
