Failure analysis is the process of compiling and analysing data and evidence to determine the root cause of the failure (Root Cause Analysis) in order to control, prevent or delay its appearance in other batches of the same type of parts.
Failure analysis forms part of materials engineering and its starting point is forensic investigation into the failed component, equipment or structure.
Our Failure Analysis and Prevention team is a multi-disciplinary team with extensive experience in determining the root cause of the failure, whether it lies in its design, manufacture, use or maintenance.
We are experts in the following failure mechanisms: mechanical, wear, corrosion and high temperature.
This service is aimed at engineering firms, manufacturers, insurance companies, appraisers and maintenance technicians who need to know the cause of the failure of components and systems , in order to establish corrective measures and /or assign responsibilities.
Aimed at:
- Renewable energies
- Manufacturers of metal components.
- Metal transformation sector.
- Oil & Gas sector.
- Construction sector.
- Design and maintenance engineering firms.
- Component manufacturers for the aeronautical, railway, automotive, naval and offshore sectors.
- Infrastructure.
