“EMERALD is redefining cloud-based services, creating a more secure and efficient framework for businesses of all sizes”
The EMERALD project is a milestone in the cloud-based services industry.
EMERALD is a solution for both multinational corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises. This project emphasises continuous certification and automatic adaptation of services to meet demanding security and privacy standards.
Led by TECNALIA, the EMERALD consortium, made up of a wide range of academic and industrial partners, is at the forefront of the implementation of a Certification as a Service (CaaS) model. This project is set out to be a pillar in the harmonisation of cybersecurity standards, such as the EUCS (European Cybersecurity Certification Scheme for Cloud Services) candidate scheme, and is expected to create a more secure and accessible cloud ecosystem for all users.
- Simplified Certification: EMERALD addresses the challenges of certifying cloud services by offering a more accessible process and accelerating validation through advanced-knowledge graph-based tools.
- Continuous Audit: The project aims to facilitate certification through various schemes, using a metric mapping approach to provide a seamless audit experience.
- Guaranteed interoperability: In order to ensure compatibility between systems, EMERALD will focus on integration with other security frameworks and repositories, validating its innovations in real industrial environments.
- Fostering Adoption: EMERALD aims to boost the use of secure cloud-based services by simplifying the certification process and working closely with international bodies.
