High precision multi-process machines in uncontrolled thermal conditions

New generation of high precision, large-format multi-process machines that minimise the thermal error even in uncontrolled environments.

This project came about with the aim of reducing the thermal error in machining machines.

Studies show that up to 75% of the geometric errors of the machined parts may be due to the thermal deflections of the machines caused by the heat generated (engines, drives, cutting fluids, among others), as well as changes in ambient temperature.

Within the framework of this development, we have implemented numeric models capable of predicting and offsetting thermal deflection with a high degree of precision. It integrates thermo-friendly solutions with low implementation and operational costs, as well as rules for the offsetting of thermal precision errors, increasing the precision, even in uncontrolled thermal environments.
