Innovative sensors based on Multi-functional Active Materials for 4.0 monitoring

Development of 4.0 monitoring solutions of construction processes and structural health based on innovative sensors and new active materials to increase safety, durability and quality and reduce operating costs.

Innovation in the SIMAM project focuses on the following key points:

  • The development of new active materials, such as magnetic alloys and piezoresistive materials based on carbon nanotubes.
  • The development of new power autonomous, wireless sensor devices that can be interrogated so that they can be embedded and/or positioned in structures and products to be interrogated in construction.
  • From electronics, their innovation lies in the opportunities offered by the latest advances in ICTs through increased signal quality and cost reductions, making them competitive compared to current monitoring solutions.

These developments have been carried out through collaboration with the following entities:

  • VDA. DE SAINZ (Leader)
  • ULMA
  • FAGOR ELECTRÓNICA
  • PREFABRICADOS DE HORMIGON ETXEBERRIA
  • HORMIGONES Y MORTEROS AGOTE
  • ABEKI COMPOSITES
  • BELAKO LANAK
  • NET
  • BERRILAN 2000
