Development of testing and validation tools and methodologies for complex configurations of Smart Energy Systems, focusing on smart grids. The project supports and provides researchers with physical access to the whole ERIGrid experimental structure and a series of on-line services (virtual access).
Based on the results from the ERIGrid-1 project, the successor project, ERIGrid 2.0, extends the tools, procedures and services developed for the analysis, testing and validation of smart grids. Adopting a holistic validation approach for these cyber-physical systems that include various domains (electric and ICT, among others), ERIGrid 2.0 fosters research and education for academic and industrial researchers through a transnational programme to the leading European laboratories where experimental research projects can be implemented. ERIGrid 2.0 also incorporates the virtual access mode to a series of databases and on-line simulation tools.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme, under Grant Agreement No. 870620.
