Scaling and commercialisation of a material, derived from fire resistant mining slag, developing and validating products on an industrial scale, mainly for the construction sector, but without ruling out other sectors, such as the industrial, electrical and transport sectors.
This project addresses the needs of two industrial sectors. It proposes the recovery of waste from the raw materials sector, increasing the efficiency of the products and processes from an environmental perspective.
In turn, products with fire resistance and photocatalytic characteristics are created for the constructors and operators of tunnels, buildings or other facilities.
TECNALIA is the coordinator of the project, with the participation of the following industrial partners (ENALOS, BOLIDEN, LTU and DESAMANERA) and other centres and universities (KUL, NTUA, UPD and FORTH) which have been selected for their knowledge and experience or for having the necessary facilities to fulfil the project objectives.
This project has received funding from the KIC EIT Raw Materials programme, under Record No. 19040.
